2. Ancient Egypt Learning Center Unit
    Sample 1

The beginning tasks draw upon the imagination of the learner. Further along, the Egyptian math system is explained and there is a "hieroglyphic decoder" used to understand messages. There is a scrambled scroll to assemble and you must escape from being trapped inside a pyramid! This unit is 49 pages.

3. Ancient Greece Learning Center Unit

This unit begins with a map task where the learner follows step-by-step directions to complete three maps. It covers the conflict between Greece and Persia, the Peloponnesian War that pitted Athens against Sparta, and the ultimate conquest of Greece by Alexander the Great. There are mythology tasks and puzzles to solve. The twenty Reading Task Cards are short factual accounts with questions to answer. This unit is 88 pages.

4. Ancient Rome Learning Center Unit
    Sample 1

A mapping task begins with the settlement of the Italian peninsula and the conquest of the Carthaginians in the Punic Wars. The maps end with the extent of the Roman Empire at the time of Julius Caesar. Roman numerals are explained, and a 5-page task describes Latin word roots, prefixes, and suffixes. Art activities are making the face of Janus, decorating a shield, and constructing a soldier's face mask. The unit ends with 14 Reading Task Cards that trace the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. 5. The Middle Ages Learning Center Unit
